According to the Asia Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN) Rule of Operation, an election of new APGN Advisory Committee (AC) Members, Coordinator and Vice Coordinators will take place in Early September 2022 in connection with the 7th APGN Symposium. As agreed at the APGN AC Meeting on 12 July 2022, this election will be conducted by using an online election platform, because a large portion of APGN members will not be able to attend the 7th APGN Symposium on-site, due to the anti-Covid measures in their residential places. Hereby nominations of Advisory Committee (AC) Members, Coordinator and Vice Coordinators are called to be submitted by 15 August 2022.

APGN AC members consist of national representatives nominated by National Geoparks Network/Committee/Forum of each country that has (one or more) UGGps and those elected from other appropriate candidates. Please refer to “APGN Rule of Operation” for criteria of candidates and other details.

All candidates (including national representatives) for AC Members are asked to complete the Candidate Form. Those also to be candidates of Coordinator or Vice Coordinator please check both AC and Coordinator, or both AC and Vice Coordinator in the Candidate Form.

All candidates are asked to send the completed Candidate Form and CV via email to Setsuya NAKADA (nakada@eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp) and Yuan ZHENG (zhengyuan8819@sina.com), and copy to apgn.office@vip.163.com, as decided at the APGN AC Meeting on 12 July 2022.

All nomination letters should be sent to the above addresses directly by nominators.

Deadline for submitting Candidate Forms and Nomination Letters is 15 August 2022.
