Three European Geoparks awarded with the European Charter of Sustainable Tourism!

On December 7th 2016, three European UNESCO Global Geoparks gain recognition at the European parliament and awarded the “European Charter for Sustainable Tourism”.

  • Cilento Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park of Italy,
  • Chelmos Vouraikos National Park of Greece and
  • Malcata Nature Reserve in Naturtejo UNESCO Global Geopark of Portugal

This award is just another example of the European UNESCO Global Geoparks recognition as sustainable tourism destinations!

Thus, European UNESCO Global Geoparks celebrate the International Year of Sustainable Tourism as an opportunity to raise their profile in Europe and the World.
