On November 3rd, 2022, the China-Italy UNESCO Global Geoparks Forum was held offline and online in China University of Geosciences, Beijing, this event was jointly organized by the China University of Geosciences, Beijing and the Italian Embassy in China for celebrating the 2022 Italy-China Cultural Tourism Year and 70th Anniversary of China University of Geosciences, Beijing. Prof. Alesandra Guidi, S&T Counsellor, Dr. Elisa Messina from the Embassy of the Republic of Italy, Prof. Ma Junjie, Chairman of China University of Geosciences, Beijing addressed their welcome speeches in the opening ceremony, Prof. Nikolas Zouros, the GGN president, and Ms. Sophie Justice, the EGN coordinator sent their video speeches for expressing their warm congratulation on behalf of the GGN and EGN.
