Funiushan Global Geopark Organized Activities to Welcome the Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is coming, in order to enrich the cultural life of the staff , activate the festive atmosphere, and create a positive work atmosphere, on the morning of January 24, all the staff of Funiu shan Global Geopark Conservatio n and Development Center gathered together and held a Spring Festival party with the theme of "Love nature, fly dreams, and celebrate the Spring Festival".

The activities are rich and colorful, including guessing riddles, reading pictures to identify global geoparks, drawing lots to identify birds, drumming flowers, free interaction and hand-made lanterns. The riddles are designed to be both informative and fun, with each participant earning points for correct answers and reciting poems related to geology, birds or the Spring Festival for incorrect answers. After a fierce competition, the winner was finally awarded a certificate of honor and exquisite gifts.

The activity scene was filled with a strong festive atmosphere, exuding beaming and lively, and the staff were enthusiastic and actively participated. While celebrating the festival, traditional Chinese folk culture has been promoted, intangible cultural heritage has been disseminated, and science knowledge of the global g eopark s and wetland park has been popularized, creating a warm, joyful and peaceful festival cultural atmosphere. In addition, the activity also strengthened the communication and liaison between colleagues, enhanced the understanding and friendship between each other, effectively enhanced the cohesion and centripetal force of the organization, and gathered people's hearts and strength for the work of the n ew y ear.

The Spring Festival is one of the most grand and distinctive traditional festivals in China. It contains rich and colorful contents and has important historical, artistic and cultural values. In 2006, the Spring Festival folk custom was approved by The State Council and was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. On December 4, 2024, at the 19th regular session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO held in Asuncion, Paraguay, the "Spring Festival - the social practice of Chinese people celebrating the traditional New Year" was officially included in the Representative list of the intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity.
